1/1/2024 0 Comments Revlon concealer review![]() I always believe you should be able to tailor the amount of coverage to your liking with base products. It’s got a very buildable consistency, which I personally love in a concealer. This is not going to completely erase every little imperfection on your skin, but it’s certainly going to cover redness & discoloration well enough. I would absolutely agree with that claim. Revlon has been quite direct with this product and literally printed the words Medium Coverage on the back, after listing the product benefits (refer to the photo above). I like the shape of the doe-foot applicator purely because it nestles into the inner corner of the eye very pleasingly. I’ve never experienced any clinging or weird patches that won’t blend in. A few taps of my finger and this is pretty much completely blended into my skin. I’d class the consistency as thin-to-medium in terms of thickness, and it definitely has a creaminess to it. This applies very easily onto the skin without much tugging or pulling. Read this: Review: Joah Beauty Truly Yours Full Cover Concealer MY THOUGHTS ON APPLICATION I’m not bothered by this at the moment because the product hasn’t managed to leak after I’ve reinserted the applicator and closed the tube. I do find that the applicator holds a bit too much product, so I have to scrape it off along the sides. The tube is a slightly squishy plastic and the cap unscrews to reveal a wide but curved doe-foot applicator that eventually tapers. It’s small, lightweight and perfectly suited to throw in your makeup travel bag or your purse. Like the Joah Beauty Truly Yours Full Cover Concealer, I think the packaging for this Revlon concealer is great. ![]() I then always set my concealer with a small amount of the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I find using sponges & brushes takes away too much coverage for my liking. I then gently tap & stipple the product into my skin with my index finger for maximum coverage. I also take this around the corners of my nose where I have redness & broken veins. So I use the applicator to dot 3 to 4 small circles under my eyes and into the dark inner corners. If you’ve been following the blog for a while now you’ll know that I apply about 80% of my makeup with my fingers. I’ve been trialing this product in my routine since early(ish) December, so without further delay, let’s get started! I saw this on a display in one of local CVS stores, and I just couldn’t help myself from picking it up I love trying new concealers! I’m always searching for the perfect one, kinda like with mascaras. This is a fairly new release from Revlon, and in addition to this concealer formula there’s also a foundation in the range as well. The reason behind this is that the darkness will only blend in well with your base if its covered by a shade lighter to make up for the pigmentation. It’s time for another review today, and now we’re going to deep-dive into the new Revlon PhotoReady Candid Concealer. ALWAYS, buy a shade lighter than your skin tone, especially for under eyes. I think I did not pay much attention to it the last time but I learned. I'm no beauty expert but brilliant beauty blogs out there are doing their job to educate me about these things. Basically, do not buy a concealer just because its a steal. Women use concealers all over the face or body for problem areas but thankfully for me under eye circles are the only real issue for me. Anyway, so I have tried concealers in the past and then Revlon Photo Ready Concealer happened to me. I can lessen them to an extent by taking good care but always having had some, they never entirely go. I am one of those people who has a problem of dark circles. And it did or what! :D I was forced to work on this review tonight because it was too good to not share with you all at the earliest. But then the Revlon Photo Ready Concealer came into my life to teach me a lesson. ![]() I haven't done a product review in a while.
